32. A three-year old FLDS boy has been “crying himself to sleep every night, according to the attorney representing him.” I mentioned his mother, Sarah Steed, in a previous post. In spite of CPS claims that they would try to keep siblings together, Sarah’s six children were divided among four foster facilities in three widely-separated cities. In the case of Sarah’s three year-old, he was not placed with any of his five siblings. He has been sick multiple times since being taken into protective custody, and he cries himself to sleep. CPS claims they have the best interests of the children at heart, but it’s hard to imagine that CPS could have wreaked more havoc if they were purposely trying to harm the children.
